Not bored, just striving for perfection, and there's something about the black wheels that makes me think "could do better" - the TSWs really do look nice, and are light as well, and you don't see that many matt bronze wheels about

Gold could be a real Marmite job, but it is possible to get Pro Race 1.2s in gold now

Where's the scratch head smiley when you need it?

You need something a bit more OEM Bry. Stick some Bentleys / Maybachs or something on it for a bit I reckon.

Super choice on the Turinis, obviously :D

I'm well happy with mine - strong, light and look good. Think that's a decent result

Pretty easy to clean too. Those TSWs look nice too - don't think I've seen a set of those running on anything before?

I think for an 'aftermarket' wheel the Turini fits in well. Doesn't scream different, just.... better ;)

They'd all cover the brakes up too much Nick - you know I'm a poseur at heart ;)

Super choice on the Turinis

And the colour?

Anyone clued up on tax/customs duty on car wheels BTW - might be worthwhile importing direct

Here's some example pics for you. The side-on might help you Photoshop different colours. Feel free :)

And this will give you an idea on stance. Mine are 18x8, ET42 running 225/40/18. Think there's a fair range of offsets, and that they're also available in a 7.5J.

Colour? Well I went for hi-power silver with metallic fleck. The set I picked up needed a 'furb, so that's not a std finish. With the spoke design the way it is, I thought a black wouldn't work and don't particularly care for black wheels anyway, especially on a black car. Did ponder about a mid-range anthracite though....

Thanks for the pics Steve - will have a play with the side-on one

Will be interesting to see if the ET42 would allow the fronts to go over the brakes without spacers

The TSWs on US ebay are $1024 + $250 postage to the UK, which equates to £799 at today's exchange rates, so it all depends how much the customs duty would be

Mmmmmmmm........just to give a very rough idea

No probs - I left it at decent res for you :)

Happy to meet up at some point and you can try one on for size, on the front? Reckon you'd be OK without spacers with this width and offset, plus the spoke clearance is decent.

That's a good price on those TSWs. Always factor in a minimum of VAT for the duty, plus a handling charge by the courier co, as they deal with HMRC on your behalf :S

That looks great Steve.

Brimma - ET42 8J should clear your brakes.

Cheers. Somehow I've managed not to post ANY pics up of them; and they've been on since October! I blame the bad weather :wonder:

They're a spacious wheel, certainly!

Can't see gold working. Maybe like a dark bronze... but I'd probably go anthracite if you can't bring yourself to *just* have silver ;)

I had my photochop open so had a go too

JPS retro - I could go for that

Thanks very much emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Brimm - yep, either of those is a yes  from me.

Regarding colour I'd probably stick with the silver or gunmetal against your black car. I'd not seen the TSW's before - very similar to the VMR710s but less dosh? Good call.

Steve - looking good!

You might be lucky and have them slip through, but more likely the'll hit you with the vat. I've bought stuff direct from the states several times - its a lottery but i'd say more than 50% of the time you are asked to pay up.. assume you'll have to pay IMO.

Looks like it's 20% VAT plus 4.5% customs duty :S

I wouldnt go for the Gold but each to their own.

The matt Bronze TSW wheels look good though

That looks more like a mustard finish to me! :D

If you're still in PS Lady E, seeing as you did such a good job - can we have them done in a mid-to-dark anthracite?

TSW - wonder if the US company would send them as 'business samples' Bryan?? :smirk:

Or TSW Nurburgrings in matt bronze

Nice finish, not sure about the design.........1990's TSW Venom springs to mind!

I'm not renowned for being that lucky :S

And Mr Page, I'm a 'born again' car modder, so wasn't looking at wheel designs in the 90's, but I'll take your word for it
