Just realised my wheel bolts are too long (approx 4mm)when used with my 15mm adapters... Is it possible to buy shorter bolts or is it a hacksaw job?

You might find some shorter ones but a hacksaw and bench grinder plus a thread restorer or a die are what I normally use.
