Anyone had problems closing the boot? (Hatchback)

Featured Replies

Only had the vRS just over 2 weeks. But, I have noticed from the first day that the boot (hatchback) is difficult to shut. If I put the boot lid down to about 30cm from the closed position and then slam it shut, it only catches properly once in every 3 or 4 attempts.

Is this normal? Or have I got a fault on the car and perhaps the latch mechanism needs adjusting...

It needs adjusting.

Thanks Ross. Do you work for Skoda?

Think I'll give the dealer a call this week and get the boot and groaning brakes sorted.

If you look at the underside of the lock there is a little orange catch which you can move to stop the lock engaging - if this has been knocked or moved slightly it could stop the lock from engaging properly.

It could be worth checking before trecking down to the dealer :)
