The mrs interior is a bit smelly and dull , would a mk4 golf interior 5 door fit ok/ exactly the same (seats that is) ??...any modifications needed?

Edit: That is mk.5 seats - be they mk.5 Golf / Leon / Bora / A3 / Octavia

Anything mk.4 Golf based will fit: Golf / Leon / Bora / A3 / Octavia

I believe he's read your post and mixed up the 5 of 5 door with the model number. Mk4 stuff fits, Mk5 stuff doesn't.

If the interior isnt very worn, just dull from daily use, perhaps a good valet or steam clean might do the trick.

Did mine recently using a Lidl steam cleaner, got an excellent result. Only tip I would give is befire steam cleaning hoover it really really well to get loose dirt out, shampoo it to get light stains out, dry it (turn the heating up full blast), hoover it again, then finish off by steam cleaning it.

It took a weekend of work but far cheaper than replacing the interior and most importantly herself likes it
