Featured Replies

Hi,

Will it work with Fabia 2005 model?

I prefer ELM327 than blue color device.

ELM v 1.3 onward should work perfectly on vag group vehicles from 2001 on petrol or diesel. I have both ELM and VCDS

Whats 'ELM327' ? I presume its similar to VCDS, is it better in any way ? cheers - Stuart

ps - just done a search and ELM327 is a microchip converting CAN bus data to rs232 for use on a computer. but do you need a pogram for the PC ?

ELM based hardware is not supported by VCDS, so if you wanna use that combination - it simply won't work. For this specific combination there is pretty much no need for an ELM based interface since a 2005 Fabia has no CAN-diagnostic to begin with. If you don't like to spend the big bucks on a real/current VCDS system, a cheap KKL interface should do the job too and works with a lot of OBD2/EOBD software.
