thinking or getting the door handles and moulding colour coded. need the parts off the car though, do the moulding just clip on? or are they stickied on with that foam tape? best getting new ones if they are? reason i have to have them off is because they will get done as a side job without the car being booked in at my bro work as a favor. anyine know the part numbers for new ones?

IIRC the door strips are prone to having bubbling paint under them.

Normally they are stuck on VAG stuff and paint will probally be crap behind tho doesnt mater if your puting them back on.

will they come off without bending? would i be easier just buying another set and getting them painted? or could i take them off without bending and refit when painted?

Just use the same method as taking badges and stuff off. Hairdryer, credit card, and get scrubbing. Only thing is you'll need something to stick them back on with.

i know mate thats why im not in a rush but my bros work does it fairly cheap for me i.e. (front grill was like £15 painted black magic) so if handles are getting done i would aswell do the rest like bumpstrips and maybe even number plate surround. if its cheap enough for it all, as he will have the paint mixed up anyways.

It'll probably flake off, they're black and if a car door hits them atm it won't scratch - when painted it'll chip. Just my 2 cents dude
