Egr Delete Fault Codes And Bumper Alignment

Featured Replies

Hi, had a few bits and bobs done to my car (EGR delete, Front mount, Exhaust) I have 3 fault codes: 19558, 19557, and 17978. The two first ones are EGR related the last one is something along the lines of the car not starting due to immobaliser or something I believe. My car is the VRS SE (2007) and the people who mapped my car said that the engine light can not be mapped out. Is there any way around this other than replacing the EGR valve. I believe its different on my car to the older models but am still clueless as to why.

Second problem. The bumper was taken off due to the Front mount Intercooler being fitted, Since I've had my car back the bumper hadnt been put back on straight, any tips on how to set it straight instead of looking like its hanging off?

Any help much appreciated and I thank you in advance,

Ross.

Did your mapper delete the EGR in the map?

Does the car start and run, or does it stop after 2 seconds?

He said it was not posible on the newer engine because of the loom, he did Vrs_Turbo's map and mapped his out. The car runs a dream.

The bumper might not fit properly purely because the FMIC won't let it !

Do you have and pics of ?

I have the forge FMIC and on the drivers side where the wing meets the bumper the bumper sticks out about 1cm and I can't do anything about it :(

The EGR systems are different on the ASZ and BLT, with the BLT being a Euro4 emission car it has an electric throttle body where as the ASZ doesn't so all you are removing is a vacuum operated valve.

Both these issues are probably best discussed in full with the place that carried out the work before the fingers start getting pointed or waved etc.
