Dont know if anyone can advise i have a 2001 fabia 1.4 mpi automatic with Engine code AuA.I have seen a engine out of a vw polo with the same engine code but the vehicle is manual gearbox,will this engine fit into my auto fabia.Are there any other engine codes that will pretty much fit straight into my vehicle,and bolt onto the auto box

You might get away with an AUB which is the 100bhp variant, a 9N Polo engine would be the same, manual I think would be the same.

So has anyone tried the AUB or polo engine or any other engines.I cant really afford taking the chance buying an engine that doesnt fit.

Probably not to be fair, so best keep looking for an AUA.

auto and manual are different engine's the gearbox bolt configuration is different and if memory serve's me right the aua is not inter-changeable with any other code, but not 100% on code without checking etka, hope this info help's
