The SMF? Apparently it's a popular conversion on other 5-speed TDi models (I haven't got a vRS) such as the Golf?

yh g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch kit works on 5-speed boxs not heard any complaints about it not being strong enough.

as for the smf causing trouble with the gearbox im sure well find out soon the way vrs turbo drives :p

The way I see it, the G60 flywheel is a solid lump of iron...surely it's strong enough! And it's easy enough to find uprated clutch options for the VR6, should the brand-new OEM one I have not be up to the job. Also, I'm not looking to chase the biggest figures and I drive gently most of the time, so assuming it all actually fits, it should be ok... :D Will let you know in due course.
