A friend of mine has had a strange problem with his car today. When he locked the car with the remote the alarm went off straight away, it then wouldnt switch off. The only way it would was if he walked away and the key went out of range. He tried a new battery in the remote which didnt help so now he's just taken the battery out. Would the remote need to be re programmed hence why it wouldnt work? Would Vagcom shed any light on the situation? Thanks in advance

Try the spare key, if problem persists, alarm problem, of OK 1st key needs paired to the system again.
