Dashboard Warning Light 1.9 Tdi

Featured Replies

I have a dashboard warning light on the P A Steering and the Airbag. This was probably caused by removing wrong fuse/fuses.

Do they need to be reset on a service station computer?

I would appreciate any feedback on this problem

Not sure about the power steering on, but im sure that will go off after a short drive?

However the airbag light will need VCDS or a dealer to turn the light off.

Thanks for the reply Gizmo68 my first post on this forum and I managed to duplicate it due to an error message,Doh!

To have this lamp (airbag)reset is it an urgent job or will it wait until the next service/oilchange.The car has 150000 miles on the clock.

It is not urgent - as in you will not be causing ant damage, but whilst the light is on the airbags will not work if you are involved in a accident.

Depending on your location there is a list of Briskoda members who have VCDS in the:

VAG-COM Diagnostic System (VCDS) Owners Map

Find a member local to you and send them a personal message (PM) to see if they can help you reset the light.
