Hi Aston, I already have dual zone climate, jumbo box etc.. so not sure what you mean?? surely I just need to change the panel over, change the pin20/16 bit, and poss perform a reset? maybe VCDS mod?

Guys, can anyone tell me what will happen if i fit the unit but dont swap the pins over? ive seen it has something to do with the memory but as initially I want to trial fit this to test functionality will it cause me any issues just plugging it in? once i know it does what I want then ill cut the wires over... thanks in advance..

OK, tried fitting it anyway and it works ok, i did the first step in resetting the aircon by pressing AC and Air toward face, and it flashed a bit doing its thing, but the second step didnt do anything, Pressing AC and Heated rear window... Air is cold so guess compressor is working?

Not sure if this is an issue or not, but after a min or so, or if I reverse the auto-recirc comes on and then after I dont get any air out of the vents unless I switch it off and back on again.. then after a min it seems the vents get shut off and all the air is getting held back.. is this because I havent cut over the wire from pin 16 to 20? so CAN communictaion is a bit screwed?

Ive read on a VW forum about having to change from a 2 flap motor (works with old climate) to a single motor one? any ideas on this?

If you lower the glovebox

look to see if you have 2x plugs going to the recycle air flap, if you have 1x then you should be fine. If you have 2x then the wiring needs to be done in parallel

So glove box out, and where am i looking for the recirc flap? (I assume it should be fairly straight forward to see)

To be honest it didnt do it the second time I went out to try, but ive plugged the old one back in for now as I still wasnt too sure if i needed to do the wiring mod first..

Im guessing there is a bit involved in wiring the motors in parallel? I dont suppose this would be something you have a diagram for? Ill drop the glovebox out later today or friday and see whats there, will I need VCDS for anything to do with this or should the buttons work ok?
