Philips Vision Plus Bulbs??

Featured Replies

Im thinking of fitting the Philips bulbs to the Octavia as I seem to remember a vortex thread on them. What fitment type do I need for the Octa? Anyone else got any other recommendations for bulbs?

Paul..

We've used Phillips and PIAA in our passat ~ the Phillips weren't quite as bright as the PIAA but lasted twice as long...... (then again the passat does enjoy blowing bulbs :x )

I've used both. Standard H4 bulbs.

Phillips are cheaper, PIAA (got the Super whites in at the moment) are much brighter and much more expensive. Don't think they are worth the extra to be honest (think

Another on to try is Autolamps online, same price when the introductory discount is taken into account, otherwise they are more expensive.

Both offer free postage.

I used Powerbulbs.com and went for a set of H4's..........

My headlights are OK - but then again I only own a 4x4. :D

went out last year and bought the Philips H4 bulbs after reading a report in Autoexpress which rated them highly - only to find that they were standard fitment in my car !!!! .... still you are supposed to carry a spare !

I swaped to the phillips H4 a while ago, main beam is great, v.hard to out drive. On dipped they are brighter no doubt, but I still find myself out driving them on roads I know.

All in all a good bulb and worth replacing to carry stock as spares.

The xenon ""kit" looks good, but I would have to see it in action I think.

Colin,

Which xenon kit are you referring to and have you any details

Cheers

Think he means the ones in the Autolamps link above.
