I love black hole!

Poorboy's Black Hole, that is. If you thought I meant something else you have a dirty mind

Anyways just given the vRS (a.k.a. Skody-two) a spring detail. Unfortunately the weather went quite gloomy after I had finished so the pics don't really do it justice...

But you can get an idea of the reflection/shine after using Poorboy's Black Hole Glaze:

I like to use Vics Concourse wax which brings up the flake on dark cars too...

For those interested, process was:

  • Wash as per usual - snow foam, shampoo, dry with last touch as drying aid
  • Clay with Bilt Hamber Autoclay
  • Machine polish with Menzerna Final Finish, applied with Meguiars Finishing pad and G220
  • Wiped down with last touch to remove polish dust
  • Glaze using Poorboy's Black Hole
  • 2 layers of Victoria Concourse Red Wax

Need a beer now!

Looks good, chucking it down here for the last 15 hors so no chance of cleaning mine, and was at work yesterday when it was nice

Washed and polished mine this weekend. Looked at this thread and decided that I've epically failed :)

Haha, I bet people round where you live don't think you're a nut-job though.

We've got some new next door neighbours that I met for the first time today and the first thing the guy said to me was "Oh, you must be the one who's always polishing his car... I've heard about you".

Now that's fail :D

Very nice

I really need to get mine cleaned :(

Well, it could have been worse

I did mine yesterday with some black hole, sealed with some Colli 476.. Very rewarding on a black car! Shame it's pi$$ed down today so the roads will be throwing up a load of cr@p again during my weekly work run :( Didn't take any pics, if it still looks any good tomorrow il take a couple as I vinyl wrapped my grill as well today.

Looking good by the way!

foey introduced this stuff to me last September.

I concur, its the mutts. If all products of this nature were as easy to use,

the world would be full of shiny cars.

Lovely detail  well done.

I'm waiting to fit my coilies at the weekend then I'm gonna have to give mine the first decent clean. Do you recommend this wax then. I've been told to try colli 476

Colinite 476 is a very arduous wax, and my car is still beading well (when clean)

after a single application in October. Bearing in mind all the salt and snow over recent months

I've got to say I think thats pretty impressive.

It's not the easiest wax to use and should be applied very thinly or you'll be rubbing it off for hours.

Don't do what I did and apply it to the whole car and then try to polish it off,

I haven't had arm ache like that since I was a teenager. One panel at a time is

without doubt the best policy with that stuff.

As for the Poorboys Black Hole. slap it on, wipe it off... Can't go wrong.

It also works a treat on red cars. No white powder residue. And very easy to buff off.

First time I used it on mine I was ASTOUNDED by the results.

Without any hesitation I'd recommend it.

They were done by a previous owner, Seat Surgeons leather, inc door cards. Mostly black leather, with perforated white leather centers and embroidered vRS badges.

same here

give the FK1000p a try that is the best stuff I've ever used, you can do the whole car then go back and buff it off, i really can't recommend it enough. my car still looks shiny even when its dirty water still beading and its been on since 6/11/10.

always gets complimented on how clean and shiny it looks, i want to try black hole think I'll give it a go when it comes warm again.

well done on the detail looks amazing, thats the difference between using a machine and doing it by hand :'(
