im looking to install to front bucket seats in my 2002 octavia vrs, does anyone know of anywhere cold get the sub frames that slide straight on to the original runners or is it easier to do a custom job or *universal* brackets?

or if anyone has bucket seats in there octy any advice??

Try a MKI Audi A3 (that came with Recaro seats) as the subframes are removable from the Recaro's and they will fit straight into a MKI Octavia (and MK4 Golf), you can then bolt your seat to those subframes.

It'll be worth checking whether your new seats are 'bottom' or 'side mounted'. If you get 'side mounted' seats, the runners from the Audi won't work, you'll need to get side mount brackets.

Also, what sort of seats are you looking at? Are you talking about reclining 'bucket' seats or fixed back seats?

You can (or used to able to when side mounted seats first came out) get adapter kits to convert the seats, either way it was basically just 4 pieces of large 'angle iron' so this should not be an issue.
