warning lights x3!

Featured Replies

My wifes boss has an octy sport tdi 55 plate(our old car).He has today encountered tpm warning, abs and esp all at the same time. tpm has been checked. Any ideas? would a pothole set off the abs and esp warnings? Lights still on dash display.

thanks

The TPM uses the ABS sensors (I assume the ESP does as well?) so I would say it is probably the sensor - check the side that the pothole was hit with.

Yes, highly likely to be the wheel speed sensor. Not too dear and reasonbly easy to swap out!

If it is the dreaded ESP issue, then a fault code reading would come up with pressure sensor G201 fault. By the sounds of it I'm not so sure. If the lights came on just after a pothole was encountered then I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is the wheel sensor on the potholed side which has been given a good jolt and has now developed a fault. There should be a code logged if the lights are still on so time to find a local friendly member with VCDS to check the fault log. Either that or take it to a stealer who will charge you anything around the £60+ mark to find out.

Any luck yet i got the same problem. But when i start the car only ABS light is on then i drive out of the parking lot it´s stops to light up and then after 10meters it´s turnd on again with the ESP and TPM light. any idea what it could be?? and the garage wants 700kr (almost 70pund) for just the diagnostic...

yess sounds like abs sensor, or faulty wheel bearing on rear axle... Been there seen that ;)

turned out to be a sensor knocked from the pothole, think it was a 60 quid fix or thereabouts
