Sat Nav scratch removal. FIXED :)

Featured Replies

After purchasing my VRS the other week i noticed in strong sun light that the nav screen was badly scratched and marked.

Being a little upset that i hadnt noticed this when i viewed the car i set about sorting it.

Quick search on the net showed other owners have similar problems.

Found the answer i needed on an audi form, can't remember which one.

All you need is some Megs Plastx and a little bit of elbow grease.

Small amount applied in small areas and then buffed off with a MF cloth. cotton bud for the edges and corners. This slowly removes the anti glare coating which is actually very easy to scratch. It does leave the screen with a more shiney finish but i just adjusted the contrast to solve this.

Hope this helps people.

My nav is NOT touch sceen so beware trying it on a touch screen.

Sorry if this is a repost :)
