removing door cards?

Featured Replies

Any pointers on removing the front and rear door cards on the Superb?

I'd like to avoid breaking any plastic clips if possible...!

have you tried looking on youtube?

it helped me when i wanted to remove mine on the Fabia.

I haven't done it to a skoda but done it to many cars in the past and I always buy more clips anyway before I start as they get brittle with age and are more fragile in this cold weather and are relatively cheap to buy anyway . Sometimes you are very careful taking them off and then they snap when pushing them back on!

Drivers door; remove the inside of the handle you pull the door with (it pulls straight out with a little bit of encouragement) then lift up the window control unit and unplug remove the self tappers in this area next feel round the bottom an side of the panel there will be tork screws there remove these then just pull off the card bottom first remove the plug from the entry light lift up out of the window channel remove the plugs connected to the panel remove the inside door handle cable (look carefully first see how it works for refitting) As for the other doors the front of the pull handle also pulls of and there is 2 self tappers in there to be removed the rest is the same as the drivers side. as for the buttons breaking it doesn't seem to be an issue I have removed loads of Vw and superb panels and from time to time one will stay in the door but can be removed using the wire stripper in a pair of pliers and used again
