I've been to local dealer to ask about rear door stone chipping, dealer claims not to have seen this before but managed to grab the technician on my way out, he said there was a technical bulletin. Has anyone seen the bulletin or got a copy. Thanks tony38

hopefully this My link will answer your question but yes a known issue on Yetis without the rough road pack or not of recent production, where there's a protective clear foil fitted to the arch to protect against stone chips.

Thanks for the prompt reply and the welcome , the dealer took some pictures so I'm hopeful of a speedy resolution, I fear the damage has been done however and both doors will need to be re painted , I'm not a happy camper as the car is scarcely 5 months old , one harsh winter and it looks worse than 1991 mk2 golf . Will skoda repair paintwork under warranty?

Sorry to be slightly OT, but does it make your car go faster if you chip the rear arches?

The paintwork and foils are done under warranty .

Although it may take them several attempts to fit the foils without air bubbles (and removing the paint when they take the damaged foil off)

Agreed I'm now on attempt three, though dealership are being very good about it so can't complain.

I didn't think anyone has said there is one.

It seems to have been done on an individual case.

The technician I spoke to at the dealer yesterday said there was a bulletin about the problem, I've got to ring the dealer tomorrow but the dealer isn't very good so not holding much hope , I'm thinking of getting rid already after 5 months :(

So find another BETTER dealer!

Both my rear doors are peppered with stone chips only had car for about four months,plus other problems with the car and dealer useless.spoke to skoda before xmas still waiting for reply.getting rid soon would never buy another skoda.

Think that some skoda dealers are the worst in Vw group .
