Split pipe

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

took engine cover off to fit dump valve last night and i noticed a split pipe emoticon-0106-crying.gif

It felt all brittle and quite mucky inside. I was wondering if it ok to drive for a day as ive driven to work this morn and my neighbour who is mechanic said it would be ok and he gonna get me the part today hopefully. Any idea what the part number is and how much it is?

For the pipe i mean if you go to http://www.pimpmyskoda.co.uk/V2Images/ModsEngine/DV%20Relocation/DSC00691.JPG its the rubber pipe that goes from 2 into 1 infront of the big blue silicone pipe he has on there.

Cheers,

I got the creations motorsport silicone one off ebay a few weeks ago.

Very impressed with the qulity and I think it was only £30. Probable not much more than a standard rubber one.

Brilliant thanks people!!

if its the y pipe I've got a spare I'll sell you. It's only a year old. I've had my vac system modified so I no longer need it.

What size hose clips will i need? Also how you get original ones off????? lol :giggle:

Can't remember off the top of my head, about 25mm at a guess.

The original clips are a pain in the arse, I have developed a method using a pair of pliers and a screw driver.lol

get a screw driver under the end of bloody things and pop them off  a small terminal driver works
