Respray Costs

Featured Replies

As the title says i'm needing to get my bonnet and spoiler resprayed.

Bonnet: It has a lot of stone chips and also has some sort of contaminent perhaps overspray of somesort on the passenger side.

Spoiler: Someone has tried to paint it previously (could explain overspray on the bonnet), they haven't removed the spoiler from the car and have instead tried masking off sections of it and haven't even blended them back in with the original paintwork, in short its a mess.

Does anyone have any ideas how much I can expect to pay to have these 2 panels resprayed and if i'll need to have any other panels done in order to blend them in.

Thanks

I'd be interested to hear any replies as I want my bonnet & spoiler sprayed too. I've had a quote from a local repair place that I've used previously £200 for the bonnet, at the time I hadn't noticed my scratched spoiler so not sure how much extra it'd be 

Would of thought not much more. You have to buy the paint which be in that price and most of time there lots left over. If you wanna save some money cud prep spoiler yourself. Its labour they charge throu.gh nose for

Very much depends on quality of bodyshop. Correct prep is flat back well into clearcoat. High build primer and flat back again to fill in stone chips and level them out. Normal primer 4 coats, top coat and clear. £300 for the complete job would be a mid level price.

Yeah though I dont fancy removing the spoiler as its bonded on, would rather pay a professional to do it

Thats the rough figure I had in mind, will start asking around for quotes

I reckon that Moggy could be bob on there for spraying the individual parts. If you needed them blending in for exact colour match I reckon you will need to pop at least another £100 on top.

So anything between £300 - £400 depending on wether it all needs blended?
