Seat Surgeons, (hats off to them)

I just wanted to let everyone know what a good service I received from the guys at Seat Surgeons yesterday. I contacted Paul the manager just under three weeks ago and told him what I was looking to have done to my VRS (after spending weeks of looking through pictures to make my mind up) He was more than accommodating and said it would take a little longer than usual due to Chinese new year (if your not aware the covers are made in China) so with this he told me he could have them ready for this week. So being excited I booked for the first possible date being yesterday. And that was that, nothing else heard not even a deposit required.

So I thought to myself "is everything going to be OK?" as I had heard nothing, no e-mails or calls from Paul within the last three weeks. But no news is good news.

Being a southerner I thought I would take full advantage and book into a hotel in York for the Sunday night to get the car there for first thing Monday (very excited).

So with Daughter packed of to her Nan's me and the Mrs drove up Sunday morning (all 200 miles) booked into Ibis which was only £39 for the night, it was nothing great but was a short walk from the city centre, with a bar open until 4am :S .

So after a night of fine dinning and too much booze. I got up nice and early and took the car over to Seat Surgeons which is only an 8 minute drive from the City. Once I got there Paul was ready with my leather waiting to go. He was kind enough to drop me back into York for a day of sight seeing and shopping. By 12:30 he had called me to let me know it was all done (4 hours WOW), so with that me and Mrs found the train station and 1 stop later we were there. I was almost running up the road to see the car but walking would only take 5mins.

And it was worth it, the 400mile round journey the uncomfortable bed, the money the Mrs spent, and the 3 week wait. All worth it. They had done a fantastic job and even with the night away including fuel it was still cheaper than any other quote I had, had.

So if your looking at having leather give him a call. They are more than accommodating. And I’m more than happy with my new leather.

Another fan of the Seat Surgeons here, they did a really good job of my car just before Christmas.

I even got to use the board room to do some uni work (watching them re-trim my seats was more interesting though)

Pics will be added soon, been stuck at work on 9-9 shifts since Tuesday, so as soon as I can get them up I will. They have recently added a feed to You Tube. Do a search on Fabia Leather or Seat Surgeons, some great pics on there.

I got taken into the City centre in a small suzuki with a nice leather set up in. What a difference leather can make to any car, thinking about getting my wifes golf cabrio done next.

Already passed his details onto 2 BMW owners.

I had a lift to the train station (if it's even fair to call it that, more like a shed) in a battered up Transit...

Oy..............it's a proper northern station and don't call our battered trains transit's. I drive them on that route. emoticon-0144-nod.gif
