MKI VRS Values

Featured Replies

Right it's on another thread that I'm getting rid of mine. For everyone's benefit I thought I'd just post what people were offering me for mine.

So you can compare:

- 54,000 miles Silver 06 plate

- 3 yrs Skoda/Seat service history

- rest of services either by me or cash for labour at local garage (obviously this will reduce the price)

- very clean interior

- paintwork generally very good, let down by 1 tiny scuff on the rear bumper and lacquer peeling on drivers wing mirror

- there is a small amount of bubbling on all the alloys, nothing major

- Front brakes/tyres will see another 5-6000 miles

- 2 months Tax and MOT

- Independents were only offering £4250 - £4800 as p/x

- Main dealers a bit more £4800-£5200

The Skoda dealers I spoke with reckon they would struggle to shift it for more than £6,400 with a 12 month warranty, though the screen price would be higher.

My local dealer have an 07 plate vRS in yellow for £8795... they'd put it up for £7495 surely then allow a drop for negotiating?

Sounds about right, was offered 4k for mine p/x at main dealer, same plate but 70k miles and couple of cosmetic niggles. 4.5k was the book figure for mint condition.

when i got mine home to northern ireland i was offered 4k for my 56 plate with 70k with full leather (to them prob dont mean anything)full service history. its a joke like lol was on forcourt for 7.5k in england but got it for six

Been offered £5.5k for mine against a new Fabia vRS estate - 17k new but with the VAT knocked off it makes it an attractive 14k :)

Values have plummeted since last summer - despite Mark 2 vRS's being much more expensive...

Not made for 4 years and buyers are not going to buy cars 4 or 5 years old for more than half what they cost surely?

It's madness as the second or third owner gets hit with the depreciation when it should be the first who had the benefit of the warranty.

Mk2 VRS looks very good value with the 20% discount IMO. But I still wouldn't as daily running costs are too high, which is why I got the best mkI I could find at the time last month.
