code part skoda v/s volkswagen.. help

Featured Replies

Hi:

Sorry my english.

I've a Skoda Octavia II 1.9 TDI 2007 (vin: TMBCS21Z872024111).

I need replace rear strut mount. According to ETKA, the part code is 1K0 513 353 J, but I found in volkswagen the same part with the code: 1J0 513 353 G.

Can I buy this part for my Octavia? :S

Thanks in advance

Mauricio

No. Although the parts may be similar (i.e. both will be strut mounts) they will probably not be identical.

I would not take this as gospel, but AIUI the part numbers break down as follows:

1K0 - chassis type: MK5 Golf, MK2 Octavia etc

513 - part number

353 - part number

J - revision, so the first one would be A, then the next revised one would be B, then C etc

so?.. Is impossible use the volkswagen part in this case?

thanks!

the 1K part number is for a MK2 octavia mount 1J is for a MK1 octavia mount so wont fit
