Hey there, every so often ( say every 100 miles) my vrs stutters when i accelerate but when its idle its fine. Then after about 10 mins it goes away. Im thinking this could be more of an electrical problem possibly the MAF sensor? any help would be much appreciated!!

best getting on vagcom when its doing it so you can see exactly what the sensors are doing although like you said could be early signs of MAF sensor breaking down.

ill try whacking a new air filter in and check the connections of the MAF sensor. it wudnt have anything to do with the PD160 pipe wud it cus its only happened since that has been put in. i may have knocked a cable off or something :S

check to make sure you havent knocked the rubber vacuum pipe off on the air box

ill have a look m8, where wud this pipe be located? ( say if im looking straight at the air box)

where the big intake pipe is. there should be a little rubber pipe that connects to airbox underneath this. you will notice if it missing. if so the rubber pipes run across the bulkhead so tracing the pipe shouldnt be a problem

That wouldn't make a difference, it's an intake that's all.

mate u wud b a saviour if u cud, the problem got so bad today it deffo getting worse, it was undrivable was stuttering relli bad all the way thru the rev range this time and a warning light came up with a triangle with a exclamation mark in it?

jst checked hoses and they are connected, but my air filter is pretty damn dirty! cud this be the cause ?

If it was the filter it would be there all the time and not intermittent.

so cud be the MAF sensor then :(

Unplug it see if the problem still persists

does it just pull off? cus there no pull tabs to unlock it?

Yes there is a tab, it's on the back edge

by the looks of mine its been snapped off lol. i remember ali saying that at unit 18 wen i had my cruise fitted he sed e noticed it.
