I own a Skoda Octavia RS 2008 and the Tyre Pressure light and the Traction Control light keep turning on intermittently but can stay

on for a good while.

Here is the results of a scan I carried out earlier. Just in case this is the problem the car came with tyres 225/40 R18 92Y (I have the back two tyres

with these measurements) however just before Christmas I got two new front tyres which are 225/40 ZR18 92 W. Could the difference in the speed rating

in the tyres cause this problem? Also I have tried turning the tyre pressure light off and traction control light off but they will not turn off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as if it is a major problem I want to go to a skoda garage as the cars guarantee expires in the middle of March.

The steering angle sensor in just behind the airbag so nothing to do with your tyres.

If your steering wheel points straight it (ish), then it could be a faulty steering angle sensor fault.

As you have VCDS, open the abs measuring blocks and steering angle will be in one of them. Straight wheels and straight steering wheel should be around 0 degrees. Turn it full lock one way and then the other to see if it kind of makes sense.

You can try and recalibrate the sensor following the guide on rosstech.

If the fault comes back get the sensor changed under warrenty.
