Really pleased for the missus, her 1.2 TSI SE has been delivered by the dealer this evening and is taking pride of place on our drive for all the neighbours to see... the curtains across the street have been twitching

I'm sooo tempted to sneak out at 00:00:01 tonight and put a few miles on her.

mmmmmmmm........Intresting. If the car is an 11 plate then technically the car is not insured until 00:01 hrs on the 1st. I'm quite suprise the dealer allowed it

I asked if we held on and took delivery of the wife's Fabia Vrs (MK II ) they said a big NO NO to having it delivered the night before because of the issue with the Insurance

Your absolutely right... it's not insured or indeed registered until just past midnight, but as I said, the dealer delivered it, so it was driven here on trade plates.

No pictures of it on the drive as yet as it was getting dark when I got home from work, although I was lucky enough to be at the dealers when it was delivered so I got a picture as it was being unloaded (in all it's protective film) :yes:

Thanks for all the comments folks. I would have loved to get up at midnight but, as it's my wife's car I wanted to let her drive it first (aren't I kind!!). So I tootled off to work in the Octavia loan car I have whilst I wait for my Superb and let the missus take the Fabia on it's maiden voyage. She text me later saying how quiet and nice it was to drive (coming from an 07 plate Focus 1.6).

My son took great pleasure in telling me "WE'VE GOT AN 11" when I got home (he's only 6) and I've been for a quick spin this evening. It seems quite happy around town and on the motorway. We're not pushing it, but you can tell that it's eager to go even though it's on the 86bhp version :yes:
