DPF off

Featured Replies

We all know what the DPF does and we wish we didn't had it on our cars. :)

I want to take it off because i'm tierd of worrying about it.

For me there are 2 options available:

-cutting the downpipe and removing the ceramic filterin element and leaving the sensors in place

-replacing the downpipe with a stainless steal straight pipe and taking out the sensors

If i won't get a DPF software removal right away what are the risks of the operation?

I imagine that if i use the first method the sensors won't have anything to read and therefore the regeneration cycle won't begin. As far as i know one sensor reads the exhaust presure before the ceramic element and one reads the presure after the ceramic element. The difference between the 2 reads is how much the filter is clogged. Am i right?

What would happen with the fuel consumption after the the DPF will be deleted?

Will the noise level go up by much in comparison with the factory setup?

How would the operation afect the turbo?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
