How much is my Octy worth as a part ex?

Featured Replies

I've been looking to buy a Superb (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201040370025631/sort/priceasc/usedcars/seller-type/trade_adverts/transmission/manual/maximum-mileage/up_to_60000_miles/model/superb/make/skoda/postcode/e174sw/page/1/radius/20?logcode=p) and I've been offered £2k trade in on my Octavia 1.8T Elegance.

Does this sound about right to people, based on the details in my signature? Also, based on Parkers used prices 2k seems alright.

Cheers for any pointers folks

PS It's a 2004/53 plate

To be honest your signature won't make much if not all difference to selling price apart from getting it sold maybe quicker to the right buyer.

Most ppl take those kind of mods off and revert to std to sell them and try and recoupe selling mods seperatley.

but who keeps there old std suspension, wheels, etc etc. I know i don't

for your age car 2k does sound about right.

Obviously mileage comes into it as well.

The selling garage hasn't commented on any of the mods yet so he might turn round and say he can't do it, but he agreed a price and he's had a good look round it so I suppose it'll be his problem. The mods just make it look like a vRS though. Have to wait and see…

We were offered £2400 last weekend for our Nov 2003 1.9tdi 90 bhp Ambiente with 53k.

There are a few blemishes on the bodywork.

So £2K sounds about right for a Petrol. "suck air through teeth mode" No one wants a thristy petrol.

Hope the deal works for you.
