8,5x18 wheels with ET35

Featured Replies

If its a Superb 2?, they will stick out too far.

Compared to my Thermistos' it's 13mm for the wider rim and 11mm for the offset reduction, so that's just under one inch in English money.

They will stick out past the bodywork, I would have to advise against them.

Yes its Superb 2,

So 8,5" and ET35 is not ok and 8" and ET35??

Mayby someone tried 8,5 inch and ET35

The Skoda 18" wheels are 7.5" width with a 46 offset.

They sit pretty much spot on, i.e. they are set a little under the arch, particularly the fronts. I would not be wanting to deviate much from the original offset.

To answer you 2nd question, the wheels will be @17.5mm further out, still quite a bit IMHO, especially on the front. I reckon the rears would take that offset, but that is no good if the fronts stick out.

They will fit, but I dont think they are going to look very good and in the UK they may even be illegal if they do stick out furher than the bodywork / wheel arch.

As for the ET50 model, that will be available in another PCD, that usually how it works. Just look for some other similar wheels, the ones you looking at will be a pig to clean too, they do look OK though.

About to buy new rims

I want them to be flush with the arch, but of course I don't want them to touch, or go over. I'm thinking of 18x8J ET 35. Probably could buy -30/-40mm lowering suspension too.
