VERY LOUD BEEP

Featured Replies

Just collected my ex-demo Yeti on 28 Feb from the salesman who had been driving it.

It has one problem that the salesman was embarassed to say he couldn't fix - the EXTREMELY loud beep that it makes when my phone connects or disconnects!!

It terrified my poor wife and I'm forbidden from connecting my phone when she is in the car.

If anyone knows how to adjust the volume or disable the beep, please HELP.

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the Yeti purchase, a TDi DSG is still a rare beast.

Do you have the bolero system or the columbus system?

My wifes Fabia vRs does this when it connects to her mobile..It is VERY loud

I'm sure your wife will get used to it..My wife has

There's a guy on another thread with very sensitive ears who wouldn't dream of getting in a Yeti without ear plugs

This question has actually been asked, and answered, a few times before on this forum. The answer is here.

Try briefly touching the most left hand thumb button on your steering wheel?

Hi have the Bolero on my octavia and it actually can be turn off completely with vag-com.

Thanks for the very rapid flurry of responses, especially ejstubbs.

The radio is a Bolero and I've successfully reduced the Voice Recognition volume and the beep should hopefully now be acceptable to my wife.

I'll pass this on to the dealer, who said "Ah, that's the one drawback of the Yeti" as he hadn't found out how to fix it!
