Buying prices

Featured Replies

Hello, I am looking at getting a vrs in the summer. Do you lot think that £4500 is a ok amount to have to buy a bellow 80,000 miles vrs?

What's the issue with 80,000 miles? I can guarantee that if you looked at mine and lots of other, lower mileage cars, you'd buy mine if you didn't know the mileage. You should buy on condition first and everything else second. A good 200,000 mile car can be better than an abused 20,000 mile car. You don't know.

But yes, £4500 should get you a vRS in the summer.

Cheers, yeah i surpose thinking about it i should look more into it. thanks for the advice, i surpose a well looked after vrs should be able to reach high miles. Is there a ruff amount of miles when the engine starts giving up? I am just looking forward to a new car after having a peugeot 106 diesel for two years :o.

Go for both really. I set myself a mileage maximum of 60k when buying mine and found one with 57k on it. I paid £5,000 but it had lots of mods that I was gunna do anyway and it just had a £400+ service so can't complain really.
