have searched around but can't seem to find much on changing the inner CV boot on my 05 Octavia DSG. Just passed MOT, but threw up advisory on split inner boot. Seen a few threads that say about doing the outer, so is it worth trying to do the inner myself or should I just book to get it done at garage.

Me personally, I'd get a garage to do it as it means taking the driveshaft out completely to knock it apart on the bench. Then ideally you need the metal banding in order to ensure that it is tight to the shaft and no grease leaks.
