There's a lot of components to the Xenon system, including additional sensors for the levelling, headlamp washers etc. Denis could quote verbatim the parts prices, but I would imagine the labour would amount to best part of a day or two or maybe more to get them all fitted. 2k does sound a little excessive - perhaps they didn't want the hassle.

You could always try Powerbulbs and get some brighter std bulbs...

Hello all!

Yes indeed I have fitted HIDs (Xenon's) in my Octy vRS. The auto levelling sensor is situated in the front of the car, so the you can adjust the hight of the lights. In total, took about 4 intensive hours to fit, but WELL worth it!

Mine are not 100% legal though, as I do not have washer jets in my bumper, and mine are 8500K, whereas the legal limit in UK is 6000K. This just means that mine are more of a deeper blue than normal UK Xenon's.

Its not a very good picture, as it is very difficult to catch the exact color of them. They are much much clearer in real life, and a deeper blue

I just (this lunchtime) fitted some Vision Plus bulbs to the Signum. I'll have to wait 'til dark to see how good they are, but all I can say at the moment is "ouch!!". My paws are far too big for this kind of thing. I look like I've been trying to slash my wrists......
