End of Winter Detail

Featured Replies

As the weather was so nice this weekend i thought i would get the PC to work on the car and remove a few scuffs and scratches that magically appear when it is parked up at work

Basically:

Snow Foamed

Washed

Tar removed - Tardis

Machine polished bits that needed doing (whole passenger side) using Menzerna products

AutoGlym Resin Polish

AutoGlym Extra Gloss

Collinite 476s to top it off :whew:

Forgot to take pics yesterday so here is a quick phone one i took at work this morning.

I have cleaned and detarred the winter wheels and now just need to polish and seal them up sometime before November :giggle:

When it's just polished, red Vrs's are seriously eye catching.

Nice, what do the winter wheels look like?

Nearly - Octavia Elegance...Picture_001_23_1982116736.jpg

They are a bit corroded on the insides but will do for winters....not worth refurbing them.

They are probably nearly the same as the Audi ones anyway!

Looks sweet does that, could be seriously tempted for red on my next car.

Looks good..

I too have taken the winter Audi 16's off and cleaned mine yesterday too

Saw them pics Chris - looking good - corners a hell of a lot better now i bet ;)

Grey is my 2nd favourtie colour! Was still undecided on the colour at the time of ordering but thought sod it and went for Red!

....and i have only seen one other red VRS on the road since i ordered mine!

I did find a smoother and quieter ride with the 16's on..

Grip was fantastic in the snow and on sheet ice!!

Its nice to have the Nepunes back on again though

I dont see many Anthracite ones either.

I only see Anthracite, Blue or White on my travels!

Didn't find it much quieter to be honest but they were a lot smoother! As for grip, i was overcome with smugness the one morning when i overtook a 4x4 up a snow covered hill in my Skoda :giggle:

Just hope i don't have any more bad luck with the tyres and punctures now i have put the 18's back on....can't afford anymore £140's!
