Bixenons

Featured Replies

Can anyone help. I've just ordered a RHD Yeti Elegance with Bixenons. I work in Germany for HMF and as a rule we have to have continental lights fitted whilst here in Germany. When you switch the lights using the computer, do they go to the straight ahead tourist mode or switch to LHD mode? Any advice appreciated.

Hi az12d.

I assumed they take the persona of LHD headlamps, They will point towards the righthand pavement to prevent dazzling oncoming drivers.

I may be wrong tho. :)

They go into tourist mode and you will 'lose' the swivel function. They also go flat.

Yes, they aren't quite as effective when switched but they do the job well enough

To pass the German test, you'll have to dump the RHD headlights and replace them the LHD ones, and get the car coded accordingly. The tourist light setting is not sufficient to pass this test or satisfy german regulations for long term use in that country.

All the tourist mode does is flat beam the xenon and disable the swivel function.

Many thanks

Is it not possible to switch the side that the cutoff shutter works on? IIRC this can be done on the Octavia's xenons, so why not the Yeti?
