hissing shocks

Featured Replies

I did the bounce test on all 4 corners this evening.

It's difficult to be sure but I think it took less force to compress the offside rear than the nearside rear. Would this be the spring or the shock? Also both rear shocks make a short hiss when compressed. Is this normal? Or does it mean the shocks are shot?

am in the process am having both shocks and springs replaced on the front has just cost 230 pound for 2 shocks and springs using standard parts mine was creaking and pulling to one side with a slight hiss from the shocks but mine is octy vrs dont no if this any help as didnt no the shocks were shot untill we were about to fit the new springs and the springs had snapped top and bottom

the pulling you have won't be caused by the shock,it is most likely a roll bar bush or lower arm bushes...very common on the vrs..
