I just fitted, or had fitted should i say, a bloero, bluetooth kit, and mdi kit to my 2008 octavia 2.0 tdi PD laurin and Klement. Everything works great except, the bluetooth kit doesn't display in the maxidot and although i had the reversing gaphical display on my audience head unit, it doesn't disply on the bolero. the car is fitted with rear parking sensors etc what is needed to a) get the maxidot display for mdi and bluetooth kits, and also what is needed to get the reversing graphic to display on the bolero. Any help massivly appreciated.

What coding have you applied to the car for the Bluetooth kit? If none, then you need to get a dealer or person with VCDS to add the correct coding, so that the car knows you now have the BT kit installed.

You won't get the reversing information on the Bolero. You'd need a later module for the parking sensors.

I've got an '07 Octy with rear parking sensors and retro fitted Columbus. I did a bit of poking around on this subject and if I want to get parking sensor display on the Columbus, apparently I'll need to fit an upgraded parking control unit and also run some wires from this unit down the length of the car to the CAN gateway at the front. I don't know if yours will be exactly the same as it's slightly newer being an '08 - but if you're not getting anything displayed by default, then I suspect you'll need something like this.

I wouldn't mind getting the parking display on mine, but the expense/hassle of doing so makes me think I'll probably put up with just the beeps!

Mine's fine

I use my reversing sensors to back into tight spaces that I'd have no chance with the Mk 1 eyeball. Door mirrors are some help to judge gaps. But the graphic screen and sensors are great!
