I decided to have my car dyno'd before doing any more modifications, i was quite impressed with the results. It is standard apart from a pipercross panel filter and a uprated recirc valve.

in truth they do all tend to make over 180bhp, Mine was around the 190 mark before the remap. It seems Skoda undersold the power output.

i thought given the age of the car it would have lost a bit, what horsepower did you get after the remap?

It made 206bhp but that was with a duff maff so should be around 210bhp now. The main increase is with torque though. Well worth it

I can't see your plot as I am at work but I had my car dyno'd before I did any mods and it made the exact figures quoted by skoda for power and torque.

What bhp & torque did it make?

same here for me too cant see anything except the first bit

FOr those that can't see it:

193.1 BHP at the clutch @ 6115

148.0 BHP at the wheels @ 6115

258.8 Nm torque @ 2400

All measured at 11 degrees celsius.

Isn't that quite a high transmission loss?

According to this calculator 148 @ the wheels equates to 175.5 which seems more realistic

Mine was making 154.5Bhp at the wheels stock.

30bhp transmission loss is more realistic - surprising how much difference tyre pressures make though for example

so when i ran a transplanted 1.8t engine into a vw t4 van and only got

159 bhp at the wheels then that aint that bad=about 190 bhp at the crank then
