Hi, all,

after a long wait picked up my white vrs diesel yesterday, manual, full leather, xenons, maxidot,mdi, front and rear parking sensors, rear sunblind,

Can someone please tell me does maxidot display on the bolero, as don't seem to be able to get any options up in the dash display. All I get is the standard, fuel left, running time, oil temp, warning speed. Surely there is more but nothing shows. I have definatly got maxidot, just cant get into any menus.

Unable to read the manual as when I collected the car and opening the book up when I got home after a three hundred mile drive, the manual was all in German!!. I tell you what use is that to me. Been straight on to Skoda this morning to send english one out.

I'm no Skoda expert but on my car (with MFSW) I press the back arrow on the steering wheel then use the scroll wheel on the right-hand side to scroll between audio, settings, phone etc.

There is a 'sticky' at the top of this forum that links to a site where you canm download the user manuals in english.

on the right stalk hold the rocker switch down. this should take you to the maxidot menu where you can select the bolero radio output, settings etc. press the underneath button on the stalk to select the option you want. congrats on the new car

Cheers, for that will give it another go. Can you tell me please what position the car key has to be in. Do you just hold it down for a few seconds and it goes into the menu, something is telling me it hasn't been activated.

you have to be in second possition or have the engine running for it to work. (Have to be staionary to go into settings)

I believe thats a safety thing so that you can not access the menu & adjust things with the car running, hense thats why you get menu only if you have the key in but not turned.

Turn the key one click or Start the car & then try again

If the car's stationary, say at traffic lights or in your driveway, you'll get all the menus. When you move off, if you're in a menu it comes up with a message saying something like adjusting settings on the move is not allowed.

Dealer was in london via dtd. On collecting it I went to see firend in Hastings then travelled home last night. Nice a bit of me and car time. We know each other now.

Sounds about right to me, extra options can come and go - Music only appears when the stereo is on.

Are you saying that you can get the MFD options showing on the Bolero ?

I can only get mine on the dash.

Lfc958, re maxidot no they only show in the maxidot display, Bollero is a different set of options all to do with stereo, sorry for confusion, my mistake

altho it would be really cool if MFD would display on the colour screen of the Bolero

Just phonned up for my compensation for late delivery, really easy to do and now just have to wait for vouchers. Went directly to Skoda customer service, who state they will carry out the rest for me. Looks like family are all getting Marks and spencer presents for Christmas
