RAC report on Fabia 1.9 vRS & warranty

Featured Replies

Hi Again All,

Thanks for the welcomes and this really is a great site! I will take delivery of my 2006 Fabia vRS very soon. I'd looked into the issue of which warranty and finally decided I'd extend the Skoda warranty rather than go for Warranty wise - because the list of procedures and exclusions was so comprehensive with Waranty Wise that it was not a Wear and Tear policy as advertised: Skoda's warranty with Car Care Plan has a much shorter exclusions list.

I also got an RAC report, which noted minor faults the dealer has agreed to fix. The temperature warning light came on straight away and stayed on and the dealer (and this site agrees) that the sensor has corroded: £15 for a new bottle. Some trim to rear hatch compartment and condensation in rear light, but otherwise the RAC Inspector says this is an impressively good car for the 66,000 miles. At £163 an RAC report was perhaps a "hammer to crack a nut," but I have peace of mind.

The Fabia vRS is a "Black Beauty" and I can't wait to overtake with confidence.
