DECENT GLAZE OPINIONS?

Featured Replies

Right then chaps, im looking for a decent glaze to use, on first of all my vrs & the mrs silver astra and hopefully other coloured vehicles such as a couple of blue scoobies and a orange focus st [for some pocket money :D ] so want something pretty universal really for removing/hiding any minor swirls [if i find any] and a nice wet look B) .... was going to try the black light and V7 ive read good things about as a sealant on top of it

had a few peoples thought already, but always ready for another opinion, oh and nothing silly expensive please :D

cheers Mark

For silver, Serious Performance Paint Cleanser leaves you with really clear reflections. Not sure if it's the best but its one i tried and really liked on silver.

No use for coloured cars though, i don't like the finish that helps create on dark / strong colours at all. Far too glossy.

cheers mate, i guess theres so many similar, been on detailing world, and come with several inc poorboys and chemical guys products... guess its a case of giving it a go and sseing if i like it or not! :wonder:

cheers :)

I use Chemical guys products

This for my Candy White vRS Octy

P40 to clean prepare the paint

2 spaced out coats of Black light

topped off with V7 after washes

This for my sons 97 Milano Red Civic

P40 as above

Topped off with 3 coats of CG Blitz

Then every 3 or 4 weeks top it off with another coat of Blitz

Both systems work well for me. emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I have Chemical Guys Creme Glaze which is great on really light coloured cars but for darker reds blues etc, Poorboys Black hole is magic.

theres so many different products i keep seeing something i think will be fine [for a nice wet look and removal of minor swirls etc] and then another 1 seconds later :giggle: .... want something i can use with my new DA [just because ive got 1 :giggle: ]

You can use your DA with pretty much anything, and you'd be mad not to. For example with AG SRP i can't get near to the effect you get with the DA using a polishing pad by hand. Also cuts time by more than half.

it will probably take me twice aslong 1st time out :giggle: ... but aslong as its worth it in the end! thats why i want something thats going to look good in the end B) ive been reading good thing about gtechniq, someone id never heard of before!

the white diamonds as mentioned above is like AG SRP ... does contain fillers .. personally i pref poorboys EX-P out of the 2 and works very well with light cars

not tried that yet m8 ... but this is one from chemical guys that is supposed to be brilliant ... am getting this myself to try kit
