Put in an order for my Yeti on the 4th March- in the meantime the panoramic sunroof has again become available. So I got straight onto my dealer when I found out and asked if he would add this to the options I'd asked for. But he says the order has entered a Frozen Period so nothing can be changed - even though the build date is still over four weeks away. Is this definitely the case? I'm amazed Skoda wouldn't be interested in taking nearly €1.5K on top of the hard-earned I'm already going to give them! Any dealer based forum members who have any insight into this situation? All help/advice greatly appreciated!

Sorry I can't answer your question, but that sounds an incredibly short delivery time... has the waiting list really come down to 6 weeks or so? What engine and trim level have you ordered (it has to be SE or Elegance of course to be able to add a sunroof.)

Well the build date is 5 or 6 weeks. But the delivery date is three weeks or so after that. I've ordered a 2.0Tdi Experience (think thats the same as the Elegance in the UK). Really hoping I can add the sunroof option to the list of options.

It might help if you stated what country you were in, because there does appear to be some variance between importers

Good point - based in the Republic of Ireland.

If it's entered a 'frozen state', it sounds like its production slot is now fixed.

I added the sunroof option to my similar 2.0 TDi Elegance UK spec this week (ordered mid-Jan), and i probably won't see it this side of August.

It may highlight the difference in priority that VAG/Skoda are giving to UK orders. Should we all start ordering Irish Yeti instead?!

I'm interested to know if it does or not!

Apparently the change has had no effect on the build/delivery date. But we'll wait and see... I wonder if there are set vehicle allocations for each country? It's the only way to explain the huge differences in wait times between the UK and Ireland.
