My Superb is coming ;o)

Recommended Posts

Just a couple of questions.

1, Is there anything I should especially look out for on delivery? Is there something that can sometimes not be delivered or missed?

2, Can anyone describe how the KESSY works? Is it like the VW videos on YouTube?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

make sure you have Maps installed (if you have Columbus) AND supplied on Disc.

make sure it has what you ordered (extras etc)

as with anything, make sure it has no damage or scratches

try and collect it when it's not raining or frosty so it's easier to inspect

make sure the Tax disc matches the car / insurance (mine didnt, dealer gave me incorrect Reg number... i drove it 100 miles home before i check the insurance!)

erm, no idea how KESSY works...! :giggle:

Surprisingly not very long at all, I would say all of the above was done in well under 30 mins (that included searching the car for the locking wheel nut removal tool and trying to find the LED torch).

Don't forget that most items don't need to be checked to see if they actually work (as it would be rectified under warranty) but rather that everything was actually fitted, so a casual walk round the car ticking off items as they are checked is enough.

The biggest thing to check for is damage (it is not uncommon for cars to be damaged whilst in transit from the factory) as proving that the damage was not done at a later stage could be difficult, likewise anything missing that can be easily removed (like the LED torch) need to be checked before you accept the car.

Oh well, I think Gizmo68 missed a couple of thing in his short list...

* Of course the dealer should have it filled up with fuel for you!

* Bring your camera with you, both for your own sake, and for ours! :D

* Let the dealer show you a piece of the car marked with the Audi rings! B)

* Mine came with a cake! Yours should as well... :giggle:

* I had a longer list in another older post that I seems to have misplaced but anyhow: ENJOY the moment of delivery!

Is this still supplied? I'd heard it was just the two ignition keys these days

No you don't get it anymore.

The list was found on the 'net and a few items added

Wow, thanks folks.

I can't wait. I get to call the dealer next week to confirm it's built and arrange a delivery/pick-up date.

Oh and the camera will be fully charged with a fresh memory card in there ;o)

Thanks again for all the info/ideas
