At long, long, last the panoramic sunroof option is now available to order again on Superb Estates and Yetis. A bulletin went to all dealerships last week to this effect.

My dealer confirmed today that my order has been accepted by the computer system and so the car is officially on order...! Base vehicle is a Superb Estate Elegance 2.0tdi CR 170bhp DSG in Storm Blue. Options include panoramic roof, heated seats, windscreen and washers, raised floor, upgraded sound and sunset glass.

It will doubtless be a long wait, but I've waited long enough already, so a little longer will not matter.

Is it easy to add further extras to an existing order? Panoramic roof sounds interesting.

I tried to have an order put in yesterday in Storm blue and it was rejected as Storm Blue is no longer available. Has your order in Storm Blue been accepted ?

You can change anything and everything on your order up to 4 weeks before the car actually gets built. And don't let any dealer tell you otherwise. I changed my car's colour, added a DSG gearbox and an electric seat after ordering (the latter two options where unavailable when I ordered).

The sunroof is amazing and really just brightens the car - especially when you have an all black interior like I have in my Yeti. You will also be amazed at how much cooler the car is in the summer if you park the car and leave the roof open on tilt. (There is an option in the Maxidot to auto-close the roof and windows should it start to rain, though on tilt the gap is too small to worry about - AND if it is about to rain it is not warm enough to leave it open in the first place! ).

Is that true about being able to change an order up to four weeks from delivery. My dealer told me it was impossible without added cost and delay. I'd like to be able to quote something back at him from the forum.

I was told five weeks by my dealer, dependent on what it was.

Storm blue has been replaced by petrol blue I believe.

Still no joy with my dealers - said when they get a delivery/ build slot that's it, and I've been given mine. It's not a deal-breaker and my price for the car is a great one.
