Estate luggage/ boot cover not closing

Hi All,

The luggage cover has been refusing to close but for days where the car gets very hot in the sun.I took it apart and although the spring is working the insert with the mini friction gearing springs thing etc appears to be the problem. Any ideas how to service this or get hold of a replacement? Itâ€™s driving me bonkers!

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. That went well and it came to my place this last weekend. Early 2012, 1.2 TSI, 5sp manual, 158k miles on the clock. This is it, just after being washed. Has anyone fitted a no shroud water pump to the tdi engine? If so, what was the part number of the pump you used? How did you go about stopping fault codes / engine lights and what did you do with the redundant electrical connector?

Ok, Matrix Leds are fantastic. When driving on A or B class roads they working perfect, illuminates both sides of the road and cuts out cars at the front or oncoming traffic. I've never been flashed. When I tried to use them on motorway it's a different story. Right headlamp is illuminating as expected but left one doesn't illuminate side of the road but only gives a lot of light far at the front of the car.. Went out last night, came up to a junction & could see I could pull straight out, so didn't change down just pulled out & floored all 50HP, the engine spun up & the clutch slipped, no worries I thought it just needs a clutch. Bit can I find one? Can I buggery, not even the suppliers in Czech Rep seem to have them, anybody with any ideas, the QH part appears to be QKT243AF but I'll take any make. The adjuster is all the way in, but there is still no play so is it properly foobared?
