Coolant Hose Kits

Featured Replies

I'm looking at swapping the hoses in my engine bay for nice green ones, i've done the vaccuum hoses now i'm looking to do the coolant hoses.

I've seen a few different kits for pd130 engined cars but none for the Fabia, anyone know if they share the same coolant set up?

My other option is ordering a length of Samco xtraflex hose @ £35 per 1m and cutting it to the correct length of the originals. This is a cheaper option but i'd rather have a set up that works.

If anyone has tried this before, any advice would be a big help!

The setup differs to the mk4 golf i know that!

You can spray the original hoses ;)

Rather than start a new thread, i'll just add this question on;

Has anyone tried painting any of thier engine hoses?

If so any tips?

You need special paint that wont attack the rubber. It will also have to be high heat resistant, and flexible. Pretty sure Frosts sell it.

Would I be able to apply the special paint as a primer then add a colour on top, primarily too keep the hoses the same colour as the other painted parts, the paint also requires laquer.

The other painted parts have withstood the heat no problem.

After speaking to my dad he reacons the paint will flake off as the hoses flex

Use some eletrical tape or something? Might look pretty cheap though! Although it won't cost much. . .

I'd rather have standard than cheap looking tbh but still a good idea
