Recall 1.8tsi

Featured Replies

Hi

My local dealer phoned me and said need to bring my august10 1.8tsi lk in for a software update

No letter from suk or anything else. Is it legit?

Do you have Daylight Running Lamps activated? My car (May 2010) effectively had a software upgrade when at my request the Dealer activated the DRLs in September.

No it doesn't. I'll ask them if thats what it is

Yes please, don't be shy asking what and why it's being done, before they do it :)

Is it only the very latest cars? Mine's a 58

Took my Sept 2010 1.8tsi Scout in last week after a recall for what I was told was a software update for 'steering'. Didn't notice any problem before and all seems pretty much the same after.

Reply from my Dealer this morning saying same as Carpus. They also said it's not safety related so can be done at next service.

So does this mean complete ECU reflash?

Over here I had the same recall on the 1.6 tdi, no one will get info at home. It´s as they go to the shop for serviçe, some models off the Octavia II, Superb II and the Yeti.

Here it´s been given the number recall 91G6

It´´s just software, I noticed that the steering became more sportier, giving the impression of more feeling of the road

but could only be me :giggle:
