I just want your opinions on these 2 remaps of PD100 engines, do you think they are fake or realistic?

Will my Fabia PD100 Elegance achieve the figures these guys have suggested?

The newer polo seems too good to be true.

My Fabia is rated at 11.5 0-60, what improvements in time could you possibly see after remap?

Even though mine has a tuning box, I will put mine at a 0-60 between 10-10.5secs, so 11.5 seems about right

They dont look massively fast to me tbh... Rememeber the second video is in KPH

The top one I would say is realistic, seems comparable to when my PD100 was running 145bhp and 245ft/lb. On the road, if you have a nice smooth map, it's a great improvement. You won't really get a feel for how much better it drives from a video clip

And the 2nd one seems to take ages to get to 100mph... (160kph) looks like 24 odd seconds?

You will notice a remapped car will pull to the redline a bit easier, doesn't tail off like a standard map.

1st one seems about right - about 9 seconds.

Why are you looking at 0-60 times for a Diesel?!!!!

I've got a PD100 polo mapped, If I was to do it again, i'd buy a PD130 or 150 turbo first, then place with the mappin' you'll see a bigger benefit with the bigger turbo, then if you want even more the injectors hold it back at around 160 170bhp I believe on the PD100

I'm changing the injectors as a matter of course when I upgrade to a PD150 turbo on my PD100, just so things aren't operating at max flow rate and the fuelling remains correct etc

vRSsunroof I was merely asking for some opinions on the 0-60 time, I am getting my PD100 remapped soon and some other mods hopefully.

I don’t intend to race 0-60 to be quite honest, it’s wrong for a diesel.

This thread was intended for research, and I hope someone else could take some advice off valued member's responses

You get used to VRSSunroof. He is what you would describe as a bad internet troll :p He doesn't pay any attention to the thread, reads the last post and flames from that. He would have realised that this thread wasn't about being a boy racer, it was about someone wanting to get a little better out of their PD100. I myself want to get my car remapped, but maybe i'm a 30yr old boy racer with my little diesel car? Who knows, i'm sure he does :yes:

I think he means 0-60 is harder in a powerful diesel FWD hatchback with short gear ratio's!

The equivalent would be an Ibiza FR 1.8T/Polo GTI? Seeing as most Fabia vRS's put out near enough 150bhp standard.

Both videos look about right to me. Both cars taking around 10seconds to reach 60mph (the 2nd video is in Kilometres if you didn't notice).

That is exactly what a remap will do, make it a bit more pokier, a bit more muscular, but it's no rocket (as the videos both show!!!).

It won't suddenly make it feel super fast that is for sure.
