The events over there in the last few days are truly awful, but if any country can bounce back, it's definitely Japan.

To be fair, Japan has earthquakes all the time, so i have no doubt they have quick response teams ready for this sort of thing, and they have the money put aside to deal with it.

And to be honest, im sure the UKs problem is money plain and simple. If the money was available, the repairs would happen just as quick here.

And don't forget the unions!!!

If a job needs doing urgently it gets done, the amount of times I hear "emergency resurfacing works due to a vehicle fire" or whatever. Now potholes are a different thing!!

You also need to remember here in the UK before anything gets done, there has to be pre-meetings of meetings, and 12,000 health & safety risk assessment & forms to be filled in etc!
